Our 18" Open-End Drum Sander offers a lot of sanding capacity in a small amount of floor space. Sand stock up to 36" wide and 4-1/2" thick. Unlike other open-end drum sanders, the table moves up and down instead of the head. This means drum support is much more rigid during sanding operations, giving you more consistent results

Electronic Variable-Speed Conveyor

The W1854 allows you to set the conveyor feed rate from 0–12 FPM, ideal for a variety of sanding applications in hard and softwoods. Slow the feed down for a finer finish or increase it to remove material faster.

This sander features two different sanding speeds, which are controlled by the belt position on the pulleys. Set the speed to 2600 or 3400 feet per minute
